Creative Movement 2-3 years old, is a class for tiny dancers who love moving to music! Dancers will learn how to follow directions, stand on their "spot", follow the leader, play games to music, use dance props (scarves, rings, teddy bears, bean bags), learn the freeze dance, learn different animal dances, learn body awareness and balance, and create their own movement. Dancers learn a ballet dance for the annual recital. Dress code is any color dancewear or comfortable clothing with pink (girls) or black (boys) ballet shoes. 


Ballet, 3-4 years old, is a creative movement class which also incorporates basic ballet positions and steps. This class is designed to foster a love of being in dance class! Creative movement is also used to enhance the dancer's love of moving to music! Dancers learn a ballet dance for the annual recital. Dress code is a ballet pink leotard, ballet pink tights, pink leather ballet shoes (pink skirts are optional) for girls. White t-shirt, black dance pants/leggings, black ballet shoes for boys.


Ballet/Tap, 4-5 years old, is an introduction to both ballet and tap. Dancers learn basic ballet positions and steps as well as basic tap steps. Creative movement is also used to enhance the dancers love of moving to music! Dancers learn two dances for the annual recital. Dress code is a ballet pink leotard, carmel tights, pink leather ballet shoes, tan strap tap shoes, (pink skirts are optional) for girls. White t-shirt, black dance pants/leggings, black ballet shoes, black tap shoes for boys.


Ballet, 5-6 and 5-7 years old, is a class for dancers who are interested in ballet and are ready to begin practicing the details of ballet technique. This class incorporates both technique and expressive movement. Dancers will learn to appreciate ballet while also having some free and creative movement time!  Dancers learn a ballet dance for the annual recital. Dress code is a lavender leotard, ballet pink tights, pink leather ballet shoes (lavender skirts are optional) for girls. White t-shirt, black dance pants/leggings, black ballet shoes for boys.


Hip Hop, 5-6 years old, is a class for young dancers who want to learn jazz technique and hip hop movement. This class is high energy from the beginning to the end! Dancers learn a hip hop dance for the annual recital. Dress code is a lavender leotard, carmel tights, black dance shorts, and clean sneakers for girls. Any color t-shirt, black shorts/leggings, clean sneakers for boys.


Ballet/Jazz, Jazz/Tap Ballet/Tap, Ballet/Hip Hop, Tap/Hip Hop 5-6 and 5-7 years old, are combination classes for those interested in learning two styles of dance. All classes cover both styles. Dancers learn two dances for the annual recital. Dress code is a lavender leotard, carmel tights, pink leather ballet shoes, and tan leather jazz shoes for Ballet/Jazz. Tan leather jazz shoes and tan strap tap shoes for Jazz/Tap. Pink leather ballet shoes and tan strap tap tap shoes for Ballet/Tap. Pink leather ballet shoes and and clean sneakers for Ballet/Hip Hop.  Tan strap tap shoes and clean sneakers for Tap/Hip Hop. (black dance shorts/lavender skirts are optional). Boys--please see dress codes above for ballet, tap, and hip hop classes.  Boys wear black leather jazz shoes for jazz.  In the spring, Hip Hop dancers will be told specific sneakers to purchase for the recital.


Ballet/Jazz, Ballet/Tap, Jazz/Tap, Hip Hop, 7-8 years old, are similar to the classes described above but progress into more technique and difficulty. Dancers in single class styles learn one dance for the annual recital. Dancers in combination classes learn two dances for the annual recital. Dress code is a red leotard, carmel tights, pink leather ballet shoes, and tan leather jazz shoes for Ballet/Jazz. Tan leather jazz shoes and tan strap tap shoes for Jazz/Tap. Pink leather ballet shoes and tan strap tap tap shoes for Ballet/Tap. Pink leather ballet shoes and and clean sneakers for Ballet/Hip Hop.  Tan strap tap shoes and clean sneakers for Tap/Hip Hop. (black dance shorts/red skirts are optional). Boys--please see dress codes above for ballet, tap, and hip hop classes.  Boys wear black leather jazz shoes for jazz. In the spring, Hip Hop dancers will be told specific sneakers to purchase for the recital.


Lyrical, Lyrical/Jazz, Tap/Jazz 7-8 years old, Lyrical incorporates ballet technique and modern movement usually to a song with lyrics or a story. Dancers in Lyrical/Jazz class also learn jazz technique. Dancers in combo classes learn two dances for the annual recital. Dress code is a red leotard, carmel tights, tan leather jazz shoes (red skirt/black dance shorts are optional). Boys--please see dress codes above for ballet/lyrical, tap, and hip hop classes.  Boys wear black leather jazz shoes for jazz.


Jazz/Tap 7-10 years old,​ incorporates jazz technique and tap technique as well as learning two dances for our annual recital. Dress code is a red leotard, carmel tights, tan leather jazz shoes, tan strap tap shoes (red skirt/black dance shorts are optional). Boys--please see dress codes above for ballet/lyrical, tap, and hip hop classes.  Boys wear black leather jazz shoes for jazz.

Ballet/Lyrical, 8-10 years old, is a class for students interested in classical ballet and modern lyrical who want to learn more about ballet technique, including barre work and center floor exercises as well as the creativity and story-telling of lyrical dance. Dancers learn a ballet dance and a lyrical dance for the annual recital. Dress code is a red leotard, ballet pink or carmel tights, pink leather ballet shoes (red/black skirt is optional). Boys--please see dress codes above for ballet/lyrical, tap, and hip hop classes.  Boys wear black leather jazz shoes for jazz.

Jazz/Lyrical, Tap/Jazz 9-12 years old, incorporates ballet technique, jazz technique, and modern movement. Lyrical is usually to a song with lyrics or a story. Jazz is to an upbeat pop song. Dancers learn a lyrical dance and a jazz dance for the annual recital. Dress code is a red leotard, carmel tights, tan leather jazz shoes (red skirt/black dance shorts are optional). Boys--please see dress codes above for ballet/lyrical, tap, and hip hop classes.  Boys wear black leather jazz shoes for jazz.

Hip Hop, Jazz, 9-11 or 9-12 years old, is a class for students interested in developing their jazz technique or hip hop style. Dancers learn jazz technique in both classes as well as a dance for the annual recital. Dress code is a red leotard, carmel tights, black dance shorts, tan jazz shoes for jazz or clean sneakers for hip hop. Boys--please see dress codes above for ballet/lyrical, tap, and hip hop classes.  Boys wear black leather jazz shoes for jazz.

Ballet, 11+ years old, is a class for mature students interested in ballet. Class focuses on barre work and center floor exercises geared toward the stronger dancer. Dancers learn a dance for the annual recital. Dress code is a black leotard, ballet pink tights, pink leather ballet shoes (black skirt is optional). White t-shirt, black dance pants/leggings, black ballet shoes for boys.


Jazz/Lyrical, 11+ years old, is a class for mature students interested in developing their lyrical style which incorporates ballet technique with modern movement, often telling a story. Dancers also learn jazz technique. Dancers will learn a lyrical dance and a jazz dance for the annual recital. Dress code is a black leotard, carmel tights, tan leather jazz shoes (black skirt/dance shorts are optional). 


Jazz/Hip Hop, 12+ years old, is a class for mature students interested in learning jazz technique as well as having fun with a hip hop style. Dancers will learn two dances for the annual recital. Dress code is a black leotard, tan tights, black dance shorts, tan leather jazz shoes, and clean sneakers. Any color t-shirt, black dance pants/leggings, black jazz shoes for and clean sneakers for boys.

 

Pointe, is a class for experienced ballet dancers. Please inquire if you are interested. Dancers learn a pointe dance for the annual recital. Dress code is a black leotard, ballet pink tights, pink pointe shoes (professionally fitted) and a black skirt.
