September
Newsletter
Dear
Parents,
We’ve had
a great first couple weeks, of what is to be a great year here at Premiere Dance
Company! We’ve
enjoyed seeing all of our returning students and all of the new little faces in
the studio!
Everyone
should have received a copy of our guidelines.
If not, these are available on our website or you may pick up a paper
copy at the office. Although
all of our policies are listed in the guidelines, we wanted to bring a few
things to your attention.
We will be
corresponding mainly through email this year.
This will be the only newsletter that will be sent home to our students.
All other newsletters will be sent via email and will also be posted on
the website. Email
reminders will be sent on a monthly basis to notify you of upcoming events.
If we do not have your email address from your registration form and you
would like to receive our email reminders, please see the receptionist.
A copy of this newsletter is also being emailed to those whom we have an
email address. If
you did not receive this by email, please see the receptionist so that we may
verify your correct address.
Please
remember that your monthly tuition is always due on the 1st of every
month. A $10
late fee will be charged to your account if your tuition is not paid in FULL by
the 7th of the month.
If you are planning to pay for the entire year’s tuition, you must pay
by Thursday, September 29 to receive your 5% discount. If you would like your
tuition charged to your credit card every month, please fill out a credit card
authorization form available in our office or on our website.
Our studio
will be closed on Monday, October 31 for Halloween.
We will have our fall parties during the week of October 24-27.
Your child is welcome to wear their costume and bring treats to share
with their class. Because
several of our students have severe allergies, OUR STUDIO IS PEANUT-FREE,
and we will therefore only allow peanut-free treats!!!!!
Here's a list of some peanut-free candy that we will allow to be passed
out: Skittles, Tootsie Rolls, Tootsie pops (anything made by the Tootsie roll
company), Dum Dum suckers, Junior Mints, York Peppermint Patties, Swedish fish,
Nerds and other "Willy Wonka" hard candy, PEZ, Gum, Smarties,
Starburst, Sweet Tarts, Laffy Taffy, Blow pops, Air heads, Jolly Rancher candy
and suckers. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter!
Please
remember to have your young child use the bathroom before class every week!
If a child needs to leave in order to use the potty, this often creates a
chain reaction. If ONE child has to go, they ALL have to go!!
As
bad weather approaches, please remember that we use SWAC school closings as a
guideline for our decision to close the studio.
Please check the studio voice message to determine if classes are in
session for the evening.
For our Tuesday morning classes, our classes will be delayed by ONE hour
if Southwest Allen County Schools have a 2-hour delay.

October
Reminders E-Mail
Welcome to our new PDC
families, and welcome back to our families that are returning to us! In order to
communicate the events of PDC to our parents, we usually send monthly e-mail
reminders, such as this. The following are reminders for October, as well as a
few general items.
- Our
calendar was given out at our PDC Open Houses, but in case you didn’t pick
one up, you can visit our website to see the important dates on the Calendar
page. You can also print a hard copy for yourself, if you’d like.
- We
have a Google calendar for Premiere Dance Company. You will find a link on
our Calendar page. If you keep a calendar on a smart phone, this will come
in handy because you can have our Google calendar sync with yours!
- Our
guidelines were also available at the PDC Open Houses. Again, if you forgot
to pick one up, or were not able to attend, check out the website.
- Our
website address is www.premieredancecompany.com
and has all of the information that you need. It is constantly being
updated, to keep you up-to-date. Check the NEWS section of our home page.
- Zumba
classes are available Monday through Thursday evenings. See the fall
schedule for times. Punch cards can now be purchased for Zumba from our
office. Walk-in prices are $5.00 per class; however, the punch cards (10- or
20-class cards) are a better deal, and can be used whenever you’d like
through our fall season. Inquire about prices at our office.
- DVDs
and pictures are in, and can be picked up from our office during regular
office hours.
- Premiere
Dance Company has a Facebook page, so check it out!
- Monthly
tuition is due October 1st. The payments made during registration
were for the registration fee and September’s tuition.
- Please
remember (per our guidelines) that monthly tuition is always due on the 1st
of each month. If your payment is not received by the 7th of the
month, a $10.00 late fee will be added to your account. To avoid any late
payments, we can charge your credit card each month. If this is of interest
to you, please fill out a credit card authorization form and turn it into
our office. The forms are available online, or at our office.
- Bring-A-Friend
Week is October 3-6. Your child may bring a friend to participate in dance
class without charge.
- Our
first Watch Week is October 17-20. During the last 10-15 minutes of class,
the instructor will invite the parents into class to watch. The kids love to
show off what they’ve learned!
- During
the week of October 24-27, the students may dress up and bring treats. Make
sure we are aware of any allergies.
- Our
studio will be closed on October 31, the night of Halloween. There will be
no dance classes that evening.
- Premiere
Dance Company sells items from the cinda b Collection!! Some of these
items are on display at our studio. Order
forms are available at the front desk.
- Please
refer to the white board in our lobby, our website, and the monthly e-mails
as our reminders to you. --- ALSO, PLEASE READ THE PDC GUIDELINES.
Thank
you for trusting us with your children, and allowing us to give them an
atmosphere of encouragement, as well as learning the art of dance! Should you
ever have questions, feel free to contact us at 625-3874, or send an e-mail to info@premieredancecompany.com.
We appreciate your support throughout the upcoming year!
